Marone is located in a very charming area featuring varied touristic spots such as Lake Iseo, the Franciacorta hills (famous worldwide for their superb wines), and Monte Guglielmo in the inland (1948 m, the highest mountain in the Sebino area), a beloved refuge for excursionists.
Monte Isola is surely the most visited place on Lake Iseo: it is the largest lake island in Europe, completely car-free and full of charming corners. Further interesting spots to visit are Iseo on the southern side of the lake, Lovere on the norther side, and not far from Marone the Valle Camonica (Camonica Valley).
Marone ‘The olive oil town’

Martino di Tours; the 14th Century Madonna della Rota Sanctuary where visitors can admire prestigious frescos by Pietro da Marone; the San Pietro Church, also dating back to the 14th Century, which was built on a high rock offering an enchanting panoramic view over the lake. The very small and picturesque village of Vello is also located in the Marone district, and its old 5 km long lakeside road has been recently turn into a walkway open to pedestrians and cyclists only, offering charming corners and a stunning view over the water.

The Olive Trees Riviera in the Sebino area includes the villages of Marone, Monte Isola, Sale Marasino, Sulzano and Zone, all connected to each other by the ancient Valeriana road and all well known for their DOP certified olive oil production.
Lake by glacial origins, the smallest of the great lakes of Lombardy, but characteristic for the particularity of his views: nestled among the Franciacorta hills and mountains of the Camonica Valley.
At its core are three islands: Monte Isola, the largest lake island in Europe, the island of Saint Paul and that of Loreto.
